12Plastic part from an already eaten ring pop or use an actual ring that is food-safe (metal or plastic)Make sure they've been cleaned
Equipment
Candy Thermometer
Pot
Bowl with ice water
Pastry brush
Latex gloves
Silicone jewel mold
Instructions
Mix the sugar, corn syrup, and water in a medium sauce pan over medium-high heat until sugar has dissolved. Don't continue stirring.
Attach a candy thermometer
Wipe down the sides of the pan with a pastry brush dipped in water. Let the mixture cook until the temperature reaches 300 F (149 C)
Remove from the heat and place into an ice bath
Once it stops bubbling, add your flavoring and coloring
Pour into the mold, filling them all the way to the top
While the candy is still melted, place the plastic Ring Pop backing or the food-safe ring on top of the mold.
Let them cool completely and then remove the ring pops from the mold
