I must admit, I simply love to make slime. It’s such an easy project and it gives me something to play with during zoom calls (off-screen, of course).
Now since I’m a big fan of glitter and all things shimmery, I wanted to try to make metallic and glitter slimes. And what better way than to go straight for the gold…slime! And apparently I can’t just make one gold slime so I made three different variations to choose from.
If you’re more into the classic look, check out this green slime recipe. And for something unique, there’s color changing slime, snow slime, cloud slime, fluffy slime, and crystal clear slime. Or if you want to have your slime and eat it too, try making edible slime.

Materials for Metallic Gold Slime
- 1 Cup Clear Glue (Amazon)
- 1-3 Tbs Metallic Gold Paint (This is the one I use)
- 1 Cup Warm Water
- 1 tsp Borax (This is the big box I have)
- Gold Glitter, optional
