DIY Christmas Doormat

This super easy DIY shows you how to make a custom doormat perfect for the holidays!

Materials
  

  • 1 Coconut Coir Doormat
  • Cricut Stencil
  • Transfer Tape
  • Acrylic Paint

Equipment

  • Cricut Machine
  • Cricut Weeding Tool
  • Paint Brush
  • Tape Optional

Instructions
 

  • Create your design in Cricut Design Space. Send it to your Cricut and cut it using Smart Stencil or cardstock. Weed out the letters.

  • Cover the stencil with transfer tape to keep the inner pieces aligned. Remove the backing and place the stencil onto the coir doormat. Secure with tape if needed, then peel off the transfer tape.

  • Use acrylic paint and a brush to dab paint straight down into the mat, fully saturating the fibers.

  • While the paint is still wet, peel off the stencil and remove any inner letter pieces.

  • Let the paint dry completely. Your custom Cricut doormat is ready to display!
