Using only two ingredients, these DIY Gushers are an incredibly easy way to make your own custom liquid or slime-filled homemade candy. You can get creative with the flavors and molds for different holidays or celebrations. In this example, however, I kept it to on the fruit candy theme with a strawberry mold and fruit flavors.

Step by Step Instructions to Make Homemade Gushers
Start making your own by separating out a single flavor of the fruit gummies into a microwave safe dish.
Heat in the microwave for 10 seconds at a time until melted.
Be careful not to overheat them as they can become hard and too difficult to chew.
Using a spatula, spoon the gummy into the silicone mold, coating the bottom and sides.

Squeeze some liquid candy into the cavity made by the gummy, leaving room at the top.
Spread another layer of the melted gummy on top. Be sure to cover all of the liquid candy so it doesn’t leak out.
Leave to cool and set. Then remove your homemade Gushers from the mold and enjoy!
I made a bunch using different gummy flavors and liquid candy fillings so you too can get as creative as you’d like.
Just like the original, these DIY fruit gushers are a fun surprise to bite into.

What do I do if the DIY Gushers are sticking to the molds?
You can sift some corn starch on the inside of the mold before putting the melted gummy. The will make them pop right out of the mold when set.

Notes
- Have fun with the flavors of gummies and liquid candy, making unique combinations.
- I also tried making them with gummy bears, but that did not go well as the mixture was way too sticky. The final texture was also not quite right. The gummy stars were the candies that I found to be the closest to the real thing.
